A man has been arrested following the death of a 61-year-old who was hit by a truck at a construction site in Wigan.
The incident happened at Freckleton Road in the town, on 19 March.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said that a 58-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
They added that police were called to the site at 9.35am and the 61-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene “despite the best efforts of emergency services”.
A joint police and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) investigation has been launched.
An HSE spokesperson said: “We are working alongside Greater Manchester Police investigating this incident.”
