Approximately 150 fleet professionals attended the 2022 Toyota Fleet Executive Meeting held Oct. 17-18 at the Westin Dallas Southlake in the Dallas metroplex area.
The fleet meeting featured senior leaders from Toyota North America, who provided an in-depth product update that included the 2023 Toyota Crown AWD hybrid, all-new Sequoia, the all-electric bZ4X, the Tundra hybrid, and Corolla Cross/Corolla models.
Other sessions included a discussion on electrification and advanced technology and an update on Toyota Data Solutions. In addition, a half-day ride-and-drive featured all Toyota Division models.

Don Fordiani, general manager, fleet sales for Toyota opened the business meeting with a recap of current supplier challenges and fleet market overview.
An overview of the bZ4X was given by Miles Murphy, bZ4X vehicle marketing and communications planner, who predicted that BEVs will make up 12% of total market by 2026.
Cooper Ericksen, senior VP, product, BEV and mobility planning and strategy, announced that in the next 18 months Toyota will launch a product blitz featuring eight new models.
Garrett Smith, business development manager for Toyota Data Solutions, spoke about the on-demand data generated by many Toyota models that allows a company to monitor 24 hours a day the condition and location of its entire fleet, including driver behavior.

A highlight of the meeting was a ride & drive that featured all Toyota models, with demand for the all-new 2023 Crown hybrid, Prius Prime plug-in hybrid, and the all-new 2023 Sequoia.
Toyota Crown is AWD powered by a 2.5L four-cylinder hybrid. A four-cylinder turbocharged Hybrid Max system is available in the top-of-the-line Platinum trim level.
All-new 2023MY Toyota Sequoia is a full-size SUV. The third-generation body-on-frame Sequoia is available in five trim levels in either a seven- or eight-seat configuration.
An upfitter display was featured at the ride & drive showcasing Toyota work truck applications from Holman and Knapheide, both Toyota authorized upfitters.
